Building a platform for students in different universities to communicate and exchange, it is easy access to having a great understanding of college of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Lanzhou University. At the same time the college introduced the policy of the graduate enrollment, and made more excellent students choose to study in Lanzhou University. From July 17 to 20, 2022, the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering together with State Key Laboratory of Applied Organic Chemistry held the 2022 National Excellent College Students Chemistry Summer Camp.
Due to the epidemic, this time the summer camp was online. Over 20 universities such as Northwest Agriculture and Forestry University, Zhengzhou University, Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, China University of Petroleum, Shaanxi Normal University, Hefei University of Technology and Ningxia University and so on, 44 students participated in this camp.
On the morning 18 July, the opening ceremony was live on the Dingtalk. Professor Wang Wei, director of the State Key Laboratory of Applied Organic Chemistry, Professor She Xuegong, deputy director of the State Key Laboratory of Applied Organic Chemistry, and all the leaders of the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering attended the opening ceremony. The opening ceremony was presided over by Jia Jing, deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering.
Professor Tang Yu introduced the characteristics of the discipline and the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering from the aspects of the development history, the achievements of talent teaching, the advantages of discipline development, and the composition of teachers. Professor She Xuegong introduced the basic situation of State Key Laboratory of Applied Organic Chemistry. Then, the students visited the analysis and test center's equipment and instruments online.
During the three days, the students experienced the historical heritage, profound academic atmosphere, rigorous scientific research and professional education of the college after visiting laboratories, knowing the introduction of secondary disciplines, meeting tutors, attending academic reports, having interviews and other activities. At the same time, the students had a great understanding of disciplines and tutors, strengthened the reserve of professional knowledge, and opened up innovative ideas for scientific research.
