Natural Product Total Synthesis

Synthetic Methodology development

Our laboratory pursues synthetic strategies and chemical reactions that have the potential to advance the field of organic synthesis. We set out to rapidly generate the molecular structures of biologically active natural products by utilizing the ample reactivities of alkyne. Currently, synthetic methodology development in our group is primarily focused on the four activation modes of alkyne, such as hetero-atom activation; triazole pre-activation; transitional-metal activation and isomerization reactions. We always enjoy the opportunities of utilizing our own-developed methodology in bioactive natural product total synthesis.
