AlvanC.Hengge教授简介

Professor Hengge obtained at University of Cincinnati his BSc in 1974 and PhD in 1987. He worked as an NIH postdoctoral fellow at University of Wisconsin(1987-1990) and as an Assistant Scientist at University of Wisconsin-Madison(1991-1996). He then moved to Utah State University, working as Assistant Professor (1996-1999), Associate Professor(2000-2004), and Professor(2004-). He has been the Head of the Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry since 2009. His research interest is in the areas of mechanistic organic chemistry and biochemistry. Specific areas focus on the molecular details of catalysis, especially of enzymatic reactions, involving phosphoryl transfer, sulfuryl transfer, andacyl transfer reactions. Of particular interest is the question of how mechanisms of enzymatic reactions compare with the analogous uncatalyzed reactions insolution. He has published 8 book chapters and more than 80 papers in prestigious journals.

VernonD.Parker教授简介

Professor Parker obtained his BSc at University of Minnesota in1960 and PhD at Stanford University in 1964. He then worked as Research Chemist and Senior Research Chemist at DowChemicalCo. from 1964 to 1968. He then moved to University of Copenhagen and took a Lecturer position since 1971. After that, he held the Professor position at University of Lund in 1976 and then at University of Trondheim from 1977 to 1987. He has been a Professor at Utah State University since 1988. Professor Parker has published approximately 330 papers dealing mainly with Physical Organic Chemistry ,including the chemistry of ionradicals and the application of electrochemicaltechni¬ ques in reactive intermediate chemistry. His most recent work is concerned with the mechanisms of the fundamental reactions inorganic chemistry.
