报告人简介

Dr. Abhishek DEY studied Chemistry and received his B.Sc. from Presidency College, Kolkata (India) in 1999, and earned his M.Sc. and PhD degrees from Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur in 2001 and Stanford University in 2007, respectively. He then carried out his two-year postdoctoral research at Stanford University. In 2009, he started his independent career and joined Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science, Kolkata (India) as Assistant Professor. Since 2013, he was promoted to Associate Professor in Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science, Kolkata (India). Currently, he is an Associate Editor of ACS Catalysis. 

Dr. DEY has a background in electronic structure and synthetic inorganic chemistry. His research aims at emulating the reactivity of enzyme active sites in synthetic analogues using the geometric and electronic structure function relationships present in natural systems. His current area of interest includes multi-proton and multi-electron transformations that are key for clean energy and environment and development of new analytical techniques to spectroscopically investigate heterogeneous electrocatalysts. 

Abhishek Dey is an associate professor at IACS Kolkata. His primary research interests include inorganic reaction mechanisms relevant to renewable energy and clean environment.
